Santorini, Greece – Our Honeymoon
Today I spotted these wedding invitations by Bespoke Press inspired by Greece and it immediately took me back to my honeymoon with Michael. We spent one day in Santorini, Greece and loved every minute. My favorite spot on the island is a small village along the cliff of Oia where houses have been delved into the porous volcanic rock (left over from a large volcanic explosion many years ago that sunk the center of the island). There are hundreds of photos I’d love to post. Let me know if you’d like to see more.
Enjoy photos I snapped while visiting Santorini, Greece on our honeymoon:

Gorgeous cutout paper name photography by Maria Ikonomopoulou. This would be really pretty for decorating a wedding or a special spot in your home.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
You and Me. 2006
A series of photographs made during the summer of 2006. A person ‘wears’ first names of people, cut out of paper in different ways.
The work was presented for the first time at the Ileana Tounta Contemporary Art Center in Athens (october 2006) as part of the exhibition You and Me.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Where are the limits of individualism and how is it possible to achieve balances between collectivity and individual longings? Maria Ikonomopoulou continuously explores such issues with her work, blending photography and handwritten texts with a range of techniques traditionally related to Folk Art as embroidery and paper cut outs. There is an inspiring, complementary interaction between her studio pieces, her outdoor interventions and her pieces for the public space where she collaborates with a lot of people.

A Fresh Year
Happy 2011! This year has already been full of changes, updates, big plans, and happy news. I can’t wait to share all of the details with all of you! The first thing I’d like to share in the new year is my curated collection for the Mohawk Paper Felt & Wire blog. I’m honored I was asked to create a collection of my favorite items. Felt & Wire has been so nice to keep Timeless Paper involved in their blog. Remember the time they featured a tour of the Timeless Paper office? Oh and don’t forget the post by Real Simple editor, Kristin Appenbrink, who featured my love bird place cards. If you haven’t checked out Felt & Wire yet, please head on over there now. I have a little Felt & Wire shop set up here.
